Alpha Update Change Notes

Removed Features:

  • Cable Ability: Temporarily removed to rework and improve the mechanic.

Gameplay Adjustments:

  • Dynamic FOV: Disabled dynamic field of view changes to maintain a consistent player perspective.
  • Base Speed: Increased the player's base speed by 2x for faster-paced gameplay.
  • Head Bobbing: Introduced head bobbing to enhance the sense of movement and immersion.
  • Gravity and Jump Power: Adjusted gravity and reduced jump power to decrease the "floatiness" and create a more grounded experience.

New Additions:

  • Visual Speed Lines: Added visual lines when the player is moving fast to emphasize speed.
  • Boost Ability: Implemented a new boost ability that allows players to slow down time and choose their boost direction for strategic movement.

Testing Environment:

  • New Testing Map: Updated the testing map for players to try out the new mechanics and provide feedback.

Upcoming Features in the Next Update

  • Hand/Body Mesh: Add visible hand and body mesh to the player's perspective for better immersion.
  • Camera Tilt: Implement slight camera tilting when moving left or right to simulate head wobble.
